It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of

 Fellow Brother Wilbur Jarrell

Manchester Moose Lodge #699

 

JARRELL, Wilbur Preston, 78, of Richmond, Va., died peacefully April 29, 2009.  He was an active member of Manchester Moose Family Center #699, working through the chair of the lodge to become Governor in 1988.  He earned his Fellowship Degree in 1989.  He was also a Lodge Ritualist until 1996.  He was active in the Old Dominion Moose Legion #148, where he was President in 1994.  He remained active in his lodge where he loved playing music, and was a longtime member of the Manchester Strings, where he played with many of his friends.  Wilbur also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.

 Pilgrim Brother Billy Powers

POWERS, William "Billy" Francis, 70, of Amelia, went to be with his Lord on April 4, 2009 after a brave and short battle with cancer. Billy became a member of the Moose Lodge in 1982. He worked his way through every chair and was elected Governor in 1989. He earned his fellowship degree in 1991 and served as district president until 1992. He was an avid ritualist, always finishing among the top five internationally. Billy was elected president of Old Dominion #148 and elected to serve as Prelate for the V.M.A. He received his life membership for the Moose Legion during 1999/2000. In 2000/2001, he was elected as president for the Virginia Moose Association, in 2001/2002 - International Moose Legion Ambassador, in July 2002 - Top International Moose Legion Ambassador for the entire fraternity and member of the 100 division of the "Moose 25 Club." In May 25, 2002, Billy was conferred with the Pilgrim Degree - the highest degree in the Loyal Order of Moose. Billy was a member and Master Mason of Manchester Masonic Lodge #14.

LOGAN, Robert E., 60, of Hopewell, Va. passed away on Friday, March 13, 2009 after a long battle with cancer.  Robert was a loyal and dedicated member of the Hopewell Moose Lodge # 1472 and DuPont Masonic Lodge # 289 A.F. & A.M.
